Let Them Eat Cake, Or, the Spectacle of Suffering

First there was this:

And then there was this:

And now there’s this:

All of the talk emanating from the right about “class warfare” rings somewhat hollow in the face of such ostentatious displays of cruelty and indifference. This is sadism in its purest form; it is the One's deriving pleasure not just from the abject suffering of the Other, but from the One's ability to inflict suffering on the Other coupled with the Other’s inability to defend itself. To be the Master, it is not enough for the One to make the Other into a Slave; the One must glory in its power to enslave the Other, to push the face of the Other into the dirt with its jackbooted (gilt?) heel and force the Other to recognize that the One is Master and the Other is Slave.

I urge you to email as many as you can (I’m not a Kantian so I have no problem with you lying if you’re not a resident in New York) and demand that our occupiers get their generated power back.

    Thank you all!
